Updated Storage System

Hi guys so I'm back with an updated makeup storage. The previous storage wasn't really working anymore because my collection is always growing.  What's shown is just a portion of my collection because I like to only keep my frequently used makeup out and easily accessible.
So here it is...

If you like the look of The Clear Cube then this is my similar but extremely cheaper alternative.  The clear containers are actually stackable shoe boxes from The Container Store.  They are lightweight crystal clear plastic boxes that are surprisingly functional.  I love how smoothly the draws glide open.  They retail for $7.99 and are well worth the month in my opinion.

Above the Container Store boxes is the letter holder I purchased from Target last year which holds 2 Urban Decay palettes and about 5 MAC palettes.  The black box which holds my personal brushes, lip glosses and foundations is also from Target. I keep my most used lipsticks in the 12 slot acrylic container (also from The Container Store.)

As you can see here the draws are a great length & depth for my personal makeup stash.  I also ordered some plastic trays and dividers to match and they fit in perfectly.
I'm sure I won't be keeping this makeup storage system forever but for now I find it very useful.  It's also nice being able to see all the pretty products through the draws =)
Do you have any storage tips or tricks?
Thanks for reading!
♥ Nikki

Your organisation looks so appealing :) I think the neater it looks the more I want to use my makeup :). I'll really have to look out for something like those shoe boxes they are fantastic. All my makeup is stored in a drawer at the moment with boxes in the drawer :/ x

Extremely affordable stackable alternative to the Clear Cube!!!
I 'm a huge fan of clear acrylic storage, but the drawer chests I have are a lot more expensive, plus they don't hold as many products as I 'd want them too... eh, at least they look ok!

Very practical setup girlie!

xx

Love the storage. Gives me ideas, but I don't have enough makeup to actually create a storage unit for it. But I love how neat and organized yours are.

Come check out my fashion/beauty blog: http://stitched-te.blogspot.com/

I love your storage system Nikki, it looks amazing! :) It's so convenient that it's clear so you can see where everything is. That letter holder is so cool by the way! I am trying to do something about my make-up storage as well, I just don't know what! Maybe I'll check out Container Store for some ideas, my current storage isn't really working (maybe it's a sign I should stop buying more make-up ha ha!) :)
